Today’s topics: fishy leather, folding paper and forgotten ideas!
- Opened my Facebook feed today to find out about Salmon Leather. Apparently you can create leather from several types of fish hide (tilapia is another one). Unfortunately, Tidal Vision’s wallets have some issues according to Amazon purchasers. I’m going to guess that it isn’t urine-tanned (seriously, that’s the traditional way.)
- Here’s a well-written autobiographical piece regarding shelved ideas written by Marcus Baram, senior news editor of Fast Company. It’s easy to relate with the piece, which also contains a nice Goethe-attributed quote.
- The Hydraulic Press Channel on Youtube has been trending for awhile, and recently they’ve been taking on Gallivan’s Theorem, which states that you cannot fold a certain size of paper more than 7 times. This is a nice Medium article that goes into this a bit more.
